What are your cancellation and refund policies?

A cancellation fee equal to 25% of your deposit applies up to 1 week prior to your scheduled stay. Sorry, we cannot provide refunds once we're within 1 week of your scheduled stay.

What if the suite I want is already booked?

We offer a good number of suites. Our concierge will endeavour to find an alternate suite to match your specific needs and offer to book you in this suite. Should the suite you desire have a cancellation or opening in its reservation schedule during the time you will be staying with us, it is also possible to request moving to that suite at that time, breaking up your stay between two suites.

Do you allow pets?

Many of our suites allow domestic animals within the legal restrictions of the community. The City of Barrie also offers Dog Off-Leash Recreation Areas, which may be of interest if you plan to bring an active dog. As should be expected, if an incident were to occur requiring special cleaning services following your stay, a cleaning fee may be added to your bill. Please discuss your pet with us prior to your reservation to ensure you and your pet are comfortable. It may also be worth noting that the Barrie transit system permits leashed dogs and non-exotic pets on transit buses (with some time exceptions). Service animals are always permitted. Are your suites on transit routes?

The City of Barrie transit system offers full transit services and all Barrie suites are within walking distance of a bus stop. Please see the Barrie Information section on our Guest Resources page to learn more. If you desire to be located on a specific bus route, please let us know at the time of booking (eg., for easier access to the Royal Victoria Hospital).

How often does housekeeping visit?

Mayfair Suites offers biweekly housekeeping and linen service. More frequent service can be arranged at an additional cost.

Do I have to cut the grass / shovel the driveway?

Okay, we admit, when we say "Home away from home" we don't want you to have the full at-home experience. We'll take care of lawn maintenance, and in the winter months we send a plow to take care of the snow.

How much does it cost to use the laundry facilities?

If your suite is marked as having in-suite laundry, there is no additional cost for its use. Consumables (eg., detergent, fabric softener) are not provided. Housekeeping also provides wash, dry and fold service for personal laundry in all our suites at a rate of $15/basket.

Is a deposit required?

We require a 50% deposit on your first month's fee at the time you book your suite. If you are booking less than 7 days prior to arrival, 100% of your first month's fee is required. If you are staying with us less than one month, 50% of your stay's fee is required in advance, and if booking within a week of your scheduled arrival, 100% payment is required up front.

Do I have to bring towels?

No. All bed linens and towels are provided.

Do I have to bring soap?

Guests are responsible for providing their own consumables. However, we understand it's not always convenient to do a big shop the first day you arrive. A starter amount of toilet paper, tissues, paper towel, hand soap, bath soap, salt, pepper, sugar and coffee filters are provided.

What are the arrival and departure times?

Standard arrival time is from 4pm and departure is any time before 10am.

Do you offer an early arrival?

Of course. We know that not all flights land at sociable hours. If you’re arriving between 8am-4pm, we can offer you an early arrival. In these cases we block the home off to all other bookings the day before your arrival, so we have enough time to clean and prepare it the night before your arrival. This is subject to home availability and charged at 75% of the cost of the nightly rate of your booking.

And if we need to, can we leave the home late?

Yes, up until 8pm. This is subject to the home’s availability and will cost 75% of the nightly rate of your booking.

Arriving with children?

We can provide cribs for babies or toddler beds for young children for a one time charge. We can also provide you with highchairs, should you need them, for a one time charge. Please enquire at time of booking.
